Spring Forward

Greetings from Eastern Washington! The view from my desk window contains blue sky and I’m not complaining about it. With March finally here, I’m soaking up every available hint that spring is upon us. In fact, I also cleaned my office this week, and brought home a new houseplant (bamboo, I think? Not sure). I’m a beginner when it comes to houseplants, and will consider it a success if I can keep it more than a few months. But, all of this is consistent with a number of things that come to mind when I think about spring: blooms, growth, greenery, sunshine, and that refreshing feeling that comes after the snow in your yard has finally melted.

On a related note, we’ve chosen this month’s theme based on how it ties to both the season, and to making progress and expanding on last month’s theme of inspired. So, without further ado, it’s my pleasure to share that this month, we’re talking about the concept of going forward. What happens after that inspiration strikes? How do we progress, how do we keep going, what does moving forward look like to each of us?

And, on the flip side, how do we continue making progress when we might be without inspiration? When we’re tired and weary? How do we define progress, in general? How does the season of spring create momentum in our own lives to keep moving forward? We’ll be discussing and exploring, and asking some amazing ladies their thoughts on the topic, too. It also seemed fitting, given that March is Women’s History Month, to consider  different ways progress and forward movement have evolved and changed (and how they haven’t.)

Consistent with the last few months, we also have some updates and ideas that we’ll be rolling out in the coming weeks in the form of new posts, minor tweaks to the site itself, and with getting our social accounts further established. We’re just shy of our grand 4-month anniversary (what gift goes along with that? It’s not paper or crystal, I know that much. Maybe more bamboo?), and we’re taking a close look at what’s working and what’s missing from the site. We, too, have our eyes set on moving forward, so we’re excited for a deep dive together in the coming weeks.

As always, thank you for visiting and joining us.

Rain or shine,

Dena
